process

The fibres are handspun into yarn and then handwoven on traditional wooden shutter loom of Kashmir. It is then hand embroidered with fine needlepoint embroidery from Kashmir, the sozni embroidery, which can be so fine as to carry 500 stitches per sq. cm.

product care

Hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild shampoo. After rinsing out the shampoo, remove the excess water by pressing gently between the palm of your hands; do not wring. Lay it flat to dry, not in direct sunlight. Iron at low temperatures.

For dark colours, it is normal for some excess colour to wash off during the first few washes. 100% cashmere products usually pile the first few months, think of it as a cleansing process to remove any excess hair.
